Around 1 AM. Thunderstorm approaching from the N/NW. We were camped in a river bed and I became anxious. By 2 AM it had started raining heavily. The unfolded wet tent was thrown in the back of the car and we retreated to the highest ground (by a few feet) which was the approach to the bridge over Agnes Creek. It rained heavily for the next few hours. No sleep that night. Not one other vehicle was seen all night and indeed until we next retreated to Marla 12 hours later.
