| Cloud obscured the Sun most of the time from Melbourne but a few brief breaks provided momentary glimpses of the eclipse and sunspots. The longest break of about 10 - 15 seconds revealed sunspots 484 and 488. A few minutes later another shorter break in the clouds revealed sunspot 486 just emerging from behind the Moon.
Photos were taken using Fuji Sensia and Velvia, Nikon F3, 300mmm lens with 2X teleconverter ( making it 600mm ). No filters used (only the prevailing cloud). Exposure around f16, 2000th sec on Auto. |
