Taken about 1979. Previously published Mark Stenhoffs book; Ball Lightning : An Unsolved Problem in Atmospheric Physics.

The BL was unfortunately not visually observed during the exposure. The exposure time was 'a few seconds' with the camera sitting on a window ledge with window open. It's not therefore known if the BL dissapeared in midair or whether the shutter was closed during its descent.
