Time exposures taken by moonlight ranging from half an hour to four hours. Moons were double exposed (for 1 second) on the same exposure by leaving camera on tripod in same position and waiting for it to be either in the field of view or out of it. The third image is the moon setting and the fourth image is a moon rising.

The last image of Ghost Fungi (Pleurotus nidiformis) was photographed in the same way. During the three hour exposure the fungi grew in size causing bluring. Bio-luminesence is a chemical reaction that requires oxygen. The moon itself did not illuminate the fungi. This image actually has little to do with Atmospheric Optics but it is taken in only moonlight.
